The Burlesquerie Presents: Ink and Smile - Tales of Tattoos From the Inked Bodies of Burlesque

Beautiful, comical, and sometimes even frightening, tattoos fascinate us. They are symbols of stories, special times, people and places, goals and dreams.

Performers captivate us. As they weave tales from beneath a boa, behind a fan, or underneath a dress, we learn, laugh, and love alongside them.

But what of a performer’s chosen symbols, the stories you’ve seen many times but never truly understood? What of their tattoos?  Ink and a Smile is your chance to watch as our performers use their chosen art to explain their body art. Experience a night of tease that gives you a glimpse at more than just skin and a look at what both is, and is not, skin deep.

With performances by some of Austin’s biggest burlesque stars, including: Ginger Snaps & Zaftigg Von BonBon (Black Widow Burlesque); Ruby Lamb, Layna D’Luna & Lola LeStrange (The Jigglewatts); Fifi Switchblade (Frisky Business); Doubledown Dixie (Red Light Burlesque); Bethany Summersizzle and Winnie Hsia (Sky Candy Aerial Arts);  Eva Strangelove and Justin F Credible (Team IncrediLove); Sassy Delure, Roxie Moxie & Matilda Love (Avant Glam Cabaret).
